Top St. Louis Cardinals prospect Zack Cox, the 25th overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft, had a rough introduction to the Arizona Fall League Tuesday: The third baseman, known for his offensive talents, struck out four times in an 0-5 debut. Cox started at designated hitter and batted third for the AFL Surprise Rafters, who feature prospects from the Cardinals, the Detroit Tigers, the Kansas City Royals, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Texas Rangers.

Tony Cruz, catcher for the AA Springfield Cardinals, started at first base and went 1-4.
