Sam Bradford, Rams Begin Discussions

NFL.com is reporting that the Rams and Sam Bradford’s agent, Tom Condon, have begun contract negotiations.

Speculation has been rampant that Bradford could receive up to $50 million in guaranteed money — much more than the $41.7 million that last year’s No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Matthew Stafford, was given by the Detroit Lions. According to the Post-Dispatch, agent Tom Condon is representing Bradford and chief operating officer Kevin Demoff is negotiating for the Rams.

No deal is imminent, but to this point Bradford has given no indication that he plans on missing any training camp, which will open July 28. So set your watches to some time between “isn’t expected to come soon” and 12 days from now.
