Matt Holliday's July

The short version: In July of 2010 Matt Holliday has 18 RBI in 14 games. That's more than he's had in any of the three months prior to July.

Perhaps it was premature to brand the man who will play left field for the Cardinals for the next six years a Choking Choker Who Can't Hit When It Counts based on the 50 games he played in April and May. At 144, his OPS+ is higher today than it was in 2008 or 2009. He's really good! He can hit with runners in scoring position but has also been known to hit with nobody on base at all.
