Nate Robertson, Cardinals Agree To Minor League Deal

Stay connected for news and updates

Nate Robertson, most famous in St. Louis Cardinals circles for losing game three of the 2006 World Series against Chris Carpenter, has joined AAA Memphis as a minor league free agent, according to the Cardinals' official website

Robertson has spent his entire Major League career as a starter, but his significant platoon splits and the Cardinals' current struggles with their left-handed specialists suggest his place in the Cardinals' future would be in relief if it's anywhere at all. Since 2007 Robertson's 13-22 with an ERA of 5.93. His best season was 2006, when he went 13-13 with an ERA of 3.84.
