World Series 2011 Game 6 Lineups: St. Louis Cardinals' Lance Berkman To Bat Cleanup

Matt Holliday was one of the best outfielders in baseball this season, but he's had a rough World Series. In Monday's 4-2 loss to the Texas Rangers, the Cardinals left a staggering 12 runners on base, five of which were attributed to the floundering Holliday. With that in mind, and with Holliday reportedly nursing a finger injury, Cardinals manager Tony La Russa has shuffled his batting order for the do-or-die Game 6.

According to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi, La Russa will move Lance Berkman to cleanup, with Holliday shifting down a spot to fifth. This change reflects the order of the middle of the Cardinals' line up for Game 2 of the World Series when they faced Rangers starter Colby Lewis, who will take the mound Wednesday night, if there is indeed a game. Berkman, a switch hitter, was markedly better against right handed pitching this season, and after facing two straight lefties in Rangers starters Derek Holland and C.J. Wilson, it's no shock that La Russa is trying to maximize the impact of Berkman's at bats against Lewis, a righty.
