Monday night will be a winner-take-all game for the National League pennant.

If the St. Louis Cardinals are to repeat as World Series champions they will have to win another winner-take-all game on the road, just like in the NLDS and in the Wild Card playoff game. Ryan Vogelsong struck out nine and scattered four with a walk while giving up only one run as the Giants won Game 6 of the 2012 NLCS 6-1.

The Giants scored four runs in the bottom of the second, three of them unearned when Vogelsong reached on an error in the inning, and never looked back. San Francisco has now won five straight games in the 2012 playoffs while facing elimination.

In addition to earning the win on the mound, Vogelsong drove in a run and scored a run in the second inning. He had a no-hitter going through four and two thirds before it was broken up by Daniel Descalso.

Matt Cain will face off against Kyle Lohse Monday night in the deciding Game 7.
