The good fantasy football news to take, for Steven Jackson owners, from the St. Louis Rams' Week 7 loss to the Green Bay Packers, was that Steven Jackson looked great, rushed 12 times for 57 yards, and finally got his first touchdown of the season. The bad news: Seventh-round pick Daryl Richardson continued to split his carries, rushing the ball eight times for 36 yards.

Jackson has looked strong in each of the last two weeks, but it's up to the Rams to decide whether he's done that in spite or because of Richardson's presence. If he continues to play at this level Jackson is likely to take a bigger share of the carries than he has thus far, but it looks like he'll never be the every-down back he was before again—at least not in St. Louis.

Through seven games, the Rams' all-time leading rusher is on pace to miss 1000 yards for the first time in a full season; he's had seven consecutive four-digit years on the ground since wresting the starting job from Marshall Faulk back in 2005. He'll have to turn things on over the rest of the season to get there again.
