The Kendall Marshall injury saga is poised to dominate the news coming out the Midwest Region in St. Louis this week, and the speculation on Marshall's status can officially start... now. According to Inside Carolina, Marshall underwent surgery on his fractured right wrist this morning and has started the process of recovery.
Marshall may not be as big of a name as teammates like Harrison Barnes or Tyler Zeller, but he averaged four more minutes per game than any other Tar Heel, and considering the dearth of experience behind him, may be the team's most important player. Marshall averaged 8.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.6 rebounds this season.
