St. Louis Rams select Michael Brockers with 14th pick in the NFL Draft.

With the 14th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams have selected Michael Brockers, a defensive tackle from the LSU Tigers. This NFL Draft 2012 result confirms the projection for Brockers, who was considered one of the very best defensive tackles in this year’s draft.

The redshirt sophomore from LSU picked up 54 tackles in 2011 alone. Although he needs some work on the pass rush aspect of his game, he has shown remarkable athleticism and versatility in his short collegiate career. Many agree that his upside is nearly limitless, although he will need a bit more work to be considered NFL-ready.

The Rams will now wait until Friday to make more selections.
