2012 MVC Baseball Tournament: Tuesday's Schedule Features Indiana State, Missouri State

The Missouri Valley Conference is beginning its 2012 baseball tournament Tuesday. Here's a complete schedule.

The opening games of the 2012 MVC Baseball Tournament are scheduled for today at Hammons Field—home of the St. Louis Cardinals' AA affiliate—in Springfield, Missouri, and everybody's playing in a blowout that features games from 9:30 AM, when Illinois State and Evansville get things going with the 4-5 game, all the way until 7:30 PM, when Missouri State and Bradley's first pitch is thrown. Here's a look at Tuesday's complete schedule:

No. 4 Illinois State Redbirds vs. No. 5 Evansville Purple Aces, 9 AM.

No. 1 Indiana State Sycamores vs. No. 8 Creighton Bluejas, 12:30 PM.

No. 3 Wichita State Shockers vs. No. 6 Southern Illinois Salukis, 4 PM.

No. 2 Missouri State Bears vs. No. 7 Bradley Braves, 7:30 PM.

That's a full slate of games. Wednesday the process will repeat, with the winner's bracket moving on and the loser's bracket fighting to climb atop that unlucky pile.
