The 2012 NBA Draft seems almost certain to feature Chaminade alum Bradley Beal in the lottery; the question NBA Mock Draft types are asking now is where he'll go. SB Nation proper suggests the Washington Wizards are now a good fit in the wake of their acquisition of Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza. They're selecting No. 3 overall, which would be quite a win for the University of Florida freshman. And, for what this is worth, it would be a significant improvement on the last Chaminade-to-Florida-to-the-NBA story—David Lee, who went No. 30 overall to the New York Knicks in 2005.
Beal averaged 14.8 points per game in his lone NCAA season, with 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 37 games. He was the 2011 Mr. Show-Me Basketball and the Gatorade National Player of the Year, and he's now about to be a very wealthy person.
