2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament, Missouri State Vs. Stony Brook Preview: Bears Look To Stay Alive

Stay connected for news and updates

The Missouri State Bears don't have an easy road to the second round of the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament (more commonly known as "Super Regionals") but it is doable. Their quest continues this afternoon in Coral Gables vs. the Stony Brook Seawolves. The loser of today's game will be eliminated from the postseason, while the winner of the game will move onto play the UCF Knights on Sunday night in what could be an elimination game. The Knights, who are undefeated in regional play, would have to lose twice to the winner of the Missouri State/Stony Brook game in order to be eliminated.

The Bears staved off elimination by beating the top-seeded Miami Hurricanes on Saturday, knocking the hosts out of the tournament. The Seawolves, who have played well above their bottom seed, fell to the Knights on Saturday night 9-5 in the winners bracket of the Coral Gables regional.

Game date/time: Sunday, June 3, 1 p.m. CT

Location: Mark Light Stadium, Coral Gables, Fla.

Radio: KBFL 1060 AM
