Brian Quick Injury: St. Louis Rams Rookie Leaves Win Vs. Chiefs WIth Back Injury

The St. Louis Rams won vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, but that high score could be offset by a Brian Quick injury; the rookie wide receiver hit the locker room with a back issue in the third quarter.

A Brian Quick injury is one of the few things that might diminish the good feelings in the air following the St. Louis Rams' 31-17 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs—so naturally, he received x-rays for a potential back issue during the second half of that game, with the results inconclusive as of the end of the game. Quick, the Rams' second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, had three receptions for 20 yards and is expected to grow into a No. 1 role in the team's long-spartan receiving corps over time.

A back injury, of course, would delay all that. Turf Show Times is trying its best to stay calm, though the first comment is, admittedly, NONONONONONONONONO (et cetera.) One commenter notes, with a certain terrifying irony, that the only other tall receiver on the Rams' roster of diminutive Danny Amendola types is... Danario Alexander, who has suffered every injury ever reported in a wide receiver, up to and including Danario Alexander's Disease.

We'll have more on Quick's injury as it becomes available, so stay tuned to SB Nation St. Louis for the latest. And please, step off that ledge. There's still Chris Givens!
