2012 Olympic Badminton Medal Matches, And Other Reasons To Wake Up At 2 AM

Stay connected for news and updates

The London Olympics are, as always, an exercise in sleep schedule manipulation, but Sunday morning the 2012 games seem to be going an extra mile to ruin your day: If you were really looking forward to NBC Sports's live broadcast of the 2012 men's single badminton bronze medal match, between China's Long Chen and South Korea's Lee Hyun-Il, you'll have to be up by 3 AM CDT. That'll be followed by Cycling, and then, at 5:30, the doubles bronze medal badminton match.

All that and you won't even have to miss church!

That's not the only pre-sunrise event NBC has ready for you. You'll also be able to watch women's basketball group action between France and Russia, starting at 3 AM. Look: I'm not saying you should, or even that I will. It's just, this is a thing that is happening. Maybe not a friend of yours, but a friend of one of your friends, is waking up right now to watch two badminton bronze medal matches. So, keep that in mind.
