Giants Vs. Cardinals: St. Louis Fights To Avoid Series Loss On Thursday

The St. Louis Cardinals pitching staff held the San Francisco Giants offense to just four runs combined over the first two games of the four-game series, but on Wednesday night the Giants exploded for 15 runs in a blowout win over St. Louis. On Thursday, the Cardinals will try to earn a series split when Adam Wainwright (9-10, 4.03 ERA) takes the mound opposite San Francisco starter Madison Bumgarner (12-6, 3.03 ERA).

St. Louis is currently 4-2 on their seven-game homestand, so a win over the Giants on Thursday would mark off a successful stretch at Busch Stadiu,
