After graduating from Gonzaga University in 2009, Max Mandel has worked in the athletic world, while maintaining his role as a writer for Slipper Still Fits, the Gonzaga University athletics blog on SB Nation. Just months after graduating, Mandel started working for the Portland Trail Blazers as the Sports Reporter Intern. This position allowed him to provide game previews and recaps for the official website of the Trail Blazers, while also contributing to the fansite and message board community. Following that internship, Mandel spent a year at the America East Conference as the Marketing and New Media Intern, where he helped develop the social media and video production for America East.
