Saint Louis had no problem taking care of New Mexico State Thursday afternoon, pounding the Aggies 64-44. Saturday, the Billikens will face Oregon, who upset Oklahoma State.

Dwayne Evans scored 24 points on11-16 shooting Thursday as the fourth-seeded Saint Louis Billikens blew out the 13-seeded New Mexico State Aggies, 64-44, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The win was the fifth straight for the Billikens, who came into the tournament as winners of the Atlantic 10 Tournament last week in Brooklyn.

With its win on Thursday, Saint Louis advanced to play Oregon on Saturday in the third round. The Ducks defeated Oklahoma State to pull off the first of two 5-12 upsets by Pac-12 teams on the day. That game time has not yet been announced. The winner will move on to Indianapolis where they would be on track to face the Louisville Cardinals in the Sweet 16.

Louisville earned its spot in the third round by dominating North Carolina A&T Thursday afternoon, while elsewhere in the Midwest region, Michigan State blew out Valparaiso. The Spartans will play Memphis next, who barely held off a relentless Saint Mary's team.

Here's a look at the updated bracket, with more second round games still left to play.

Texas Tech, Texas, TCU and West Virginia are all in action this weekend, representing the Big 12 in their respective bowl games.

Every Big 12 team but one will play in a bowl game this year, and four of them will be in action this weekend, with the BCS bowls still on the horizon.

The first matchup of the weekend comes Friday night when Texas Tech stays local to face Minnesota in Houston for the Meineke Car Care Bowl. The Red Raiders finished in a four-way tie in the BIg 12 with a 4-5 record. The 8 p.m. CT game will be televised on ESPN.

The West Virginia Mountaineers will get Saturday's slate of Big 12 games started when they face old Big East foe Syracuse in the Bronx, N.Y., in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. The Mountaineers went 7-5, 4-5 in the Big 12 in their first season in the conference. They'll undoubtedly face a tough Orange team and a road environment with a well-traveled and local Syracuse fan base.

Like Texas Tech, the Texas Longhorns stay in the Lone Star State for the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. They'll play Oregon State on ESPN. Texas finished tied for third in the Big 12 at 5-4.

TCU, also in its first Big 12 season, gets Michigan State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. The Horned Frogs were one of the teams tied with West Virginia at 4-5 in the conference.

It was a frustrating first half offensively for the Rams, and they trail the Buffalo Bills, 6-0 at halftime.

The Rams and Bills are 30 minutes into their game at Ralph Wilson Stadium, and St. Louis has nothing to show for it offensively, trailing Buffalo 6-0 at halftime.

Quarterback Sam Bradford has had a tough time doing much of anything. He is just 5-of-13 for 37 yards with an interception on the afternoon. Steve Jackson has rushed for 35 yards, but no other Ram has managed more than two on the ground. As a team, St. Louis has just 71 total yards, to 174 for Buffalo.

Rian Lindell knocked down a 35-yard field goal late in the first quarter to open the scoring. That kick ended a 10-play, 56-yard drive. He added another, this one from 40 yards out with ten seconds remaining in the second quarter, to make it 6-0.

So even though they have yet to do anything offensively, the Rams are still in the game, trailing by just six. Part of that is due to James Laurinaitis's fumble recovery in the end zone to stifle a Buffalo drive. Laurinaitis, however, appeared to injure his ribs on the play. He was able to return to the game late in the second quarter.

With Buffalo accounting for all five first downs in the game, the Bills have a 3-0 lead on the Rams after 15 minutes.

It's been a quiet start for the offenses at Ralph Wilson Stadium, but the Buffalo Bills finally got on the board with a 35-yard field goal from Rian Lindell late in the first quarter.

The score gave Buffalo a 3-0 lead over the St. Louis Rams, which is where we stand after one quarter of play.

Lindell's field goal capped a 10-play, 56-yard drive that took 5:37 of game clock and resulted in the only point of the game so far with 2:!7 to play in the first quarter.

The opening period saw only five first downs, all going to the Bills, who have amassed 122 total yards of offense, compared to just three for St. Louis.

It will be tough for the Rams not to improve on their first-quarter offensive numbers, with quarterback Sam Bradford completing just one out of five passes for six yards. Steven Jackson, with two yards, is St. Louis's only player with positive yardage on the ground.

Tom Brady threw four touchdown passes, as the New England Patriots dismantled the St. Louis Rams, 45-7.

Tom Brady threw for four touchdowns as the New England Patriots beat the St. Louis Rams 45-7 on Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London.

Each team scored on its opening drive of the contest, including a 50-yard pass from Sam Bradford to Chris Givens to open the game for the Rams. That was all the offense that St. Louis would get, however, as the Patriots tied it up on their next possession and never looked back.

With the score tied 7-7 in the second quarter, the Patriots' offense exploded for three touchdowns: a pair of one-yard runs and a seven-yard pass from Brady to Rob Gronkowski.

New England went into halftime with a 28-7 lead, only to add to it in the third and fourth quarters. Brady threw for two more touchdowns and Stephen Gostkowski hit a field goal to give New England the 38-point win.

For the game, both Brady and Bradford completed 23 passes, though Brady got 304 yards out of them, compared to 205 for Bradford, who also threw the games only interception.

Stevan Ridley was the game's leading rusher, as he ran for 127 yards for the Patriots. The Patriots were also 7-for-11 on third downs for the game.

With the win, New England improves to 5-3 on the year, while the Rams drop to 3-5.

Fantasy studs/duds: It's never a bad day when you catch eight passes for two touchdowns and 146 total yards, which is exactly what Gronkowski did. Brady didn't have a terrible game either with his four touchdown passes. For more fantasy analysis, head over to our fantasy football page.

Odds/Gambling: The Patriots were favored by seven points, so they more than covered the spread.

Injury info: It looks like both teams may have gotten through the game without losing any of their star players. Ron Brace left the game in the closing minutes for the Patriots and there is no report yet on his condition.

Next team on the schedule: Both teams have bye weeks coming up and will be back in action on Sun., Nov. 11. The Patriots will host the Bills while the Rams will travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers.

Tom Brady threw for another touchdown and the New England Patriots scored 10 points in the third quarter to take a 38-7 lead over the St. Louis Rams going into the final 15 minutes in London.

That touchdown came two-and-a-half minutes into the quarter on a nine-yard throw to Brandon Lloyd. Brady has 19 completions on the day for 255 yards and three touchdowns without any interceptions.

After the Lloyd touchdown, New England held a 35-7 lead, but if that wasn't enough, Stephen Gostkowski added a field goal with just under seven minutes to play in the quarter to make it 38-7.

For the Rams, Sam Bradford has completed 23 passes for 204 yards. He's hit Lance Kendricks four times and Chris Givens twice for 59 yards. The Rams haven't gotten much on the ground at all, however. As a team, they have 27 yards rushing, compared to 119 for New England's Stevan Ridley alone.

With one quarter left to play, this one seems like it's just about over, and it would take an offensive outburst from the Rams to make it interesting again.

Each team scored on its opening drive of the game, but heading into halftime in London, the New England Patriots lead the St. Louis Rams, 28-7, behind three second-quarter touchdowns.

The first New England score of the quarter broke a 7-7 tie less than a minute into the period when Shane Vereen ran it in from one yard out to quickly put the Patriots up 14-7.

The Patriots then extended their lead with 6:31 remaining when Tom Brady connected with Rob Gronkowski on a seven-yard touchdown pass. This made it 21-7 and called for a nifty celebration from the New England tight end.

Finally, with time winding down in the half, Stevan Ridley went one yard to cap the scoring and put the Patriots up 28-7 at the break.

With 30 minutes of football still left to be played, it will take a sizable comeback from St. Louis to get back into the game. Quarterback Sam Bradford was 14-for-16 passing in the first half for 146 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions.

The Patriots are in control for now, however, thanks to Brady's two touchdown passes and five total receptions from Gronkowski for 106 yards. On the ground, the combined efforts of Vereen and Ridley lead the way for the Patriots. New England is also 5-for-6 on third downs.

Less than three minutes into the game, Sam Bradford connected with Chris Givens on a 50-yard touchdown pass to give the St. Louis Rams a quick lead, but the New England Patriots evened it up five minutes later on a touchdown of their own. Now, after one quarter from London, the two teams are tied at 7-7.

Both teams scored on their opening drives, with New England answering the St. Louis touchdown on a 19-yard pass from Tom Brady to Brandon Lloyd for 6 quick points. Stephen Gostkowski's extra point was good to tie the game, and that's where it stayed for the remainder of the quarter.

Brady has now thrown for a touchdown in 40 consecutive games, good for third-best all time. Drew Brees holds the record with 49 -- a streak that is ongoing.

Brady is a perfect 8-for-8 passing for 119 yards. Bradford 5-for-6 for 96 yards. New England's Stevan Ridley leads all rushers with six carries for 30 yards.

Greg Zuerlein missed a 66 yard field goal in the final seconds, as the Rams fell 17-14 to the Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins had to battle for a full 60 minutes, but they held on for a 17-14 win over the St. Louis Rams Sunday at Sun Life Stadium.

St. Louis opened the scoring in the first quarter on two field goals from Greg Zuerlein. At that point, Zuerlein was 15-15 on the year, a rookie record.

But that was all the scoring St. Louis would have until the fourth quarter. In the meantime, the Dolphins stormed back with 17 unanswered points, seven of which came on this 29-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill to Marlon Moore in the second quarter to put Miami up 7-6.

The Dolphins extended their lead to 10-6 on a Dan Carpenter 42-yard field goal late in the period.

And while the defense stayed tough, keeping St. Louis off the board, Tannehill connected with Anthony Fasano for a 1-yard touchdown pass to provide some insurance.

That insurance was much needed, as the Rams would come back in the fourth quarter when Sam Bradford passed the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown. St. Louis added a 2-point conversion to pull within a field goal at 17-14, but the Rams could not draw closer and Miami escaped with the win after Zuerlein missed a 66-yard field goal attempt in the game's final seconds.

Fantasy studs/duds: Despite the loss, a few Rams put up solid numbers. Quarterback Sam Bradford threw for 315 yards on the day, connecting on 26 of his 39 passes. Daryl Richardson, meanwhile, led the game with 76 rushing yards on 11 carries. For more fantasy info, visit our Fantasy Football page.

Odds/Gambling: The Dolphins came into the game as 5-point favorites, so their 3-point win was not enough to cover. The over-under was 38, so if you went with the under, you were happy with just 31 points scored for the game.

Injury info: There was some concern early on about Oliver Vernon, who appeared to be injured in the second quarter. He came back, however, and picked up arguably the biggest sack of the day when he stopped Bradford with four seconds left and the Rams threatening.

Next team on the schedule: Next up, the Rams return home to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Oct. 21. The Dolphins will enjoy a bye week before traveling north to face the Jets on Oct. 28.

The St. Louis Rams have now allowed 17 straight points and find themselves trailing 17-6 heading into the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.

The St. Louis Rams were ahead 6-0 in their game against the Miami Dolphins, but Miami has since reeled off 17 unanswered points and they lead 17-6 going into the final quarter.

Miami scored the third quarter's only points on its first drive of the period. A 14-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill to Reggie Bush on third down put the ball at the St. Louis 1-yard line, where Tannehill found Anthony Fasano for the touchdown. Dan Carpenter sunk the extra point and Miami's defense stayed strong through the rest of the quarter to make sure the lead held up.

On the day, Tannehill is 19-26 for 169 yards passing.

The Dolphins' defensive effort was highlighted by Cameron Wake's sack of Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, leading to a fumble.

The Rams had the ball hoping to score again in the final minutes of the quarter, but was unable to get much farther than midfield before having to punt the ball away.
