The Rams' oft-injured left tackle left the game late against the Bills.

St. Louis Rams tackle Rodger Saffold left a Week 14 game against Bills with a back injury. His status was initially designated as questionable as he was injured late in the game in Buffalo, and replaced by Wayne Hunter at left tackle. The exact injury was not known, only that the issue flared up in Saffold's back.

Saffold, the first pick of the second round in the 2010 Draft, has dealt with a slew of injuries in his short career in St. Louis. There have been several scary moments this season, including in the season opener, when he had to be carted off on a stretcher in Detroit. That injury did not end up being as serious as it initially looked, but Saffold has had his named listed on the injury report throughout the season.

Hunter was acquired right before the season started in the deal that sent former No. 2 pick Jason Smith to the New York Jets.
