St. Louis Rams Injury Update: Harris And Hoomanawanui Could Be Lost For Season

While the St. Louis Rams were able to sneak by the Cleveland Browns for the 13-12 victory, the injuries continued to pile up for a team that has lost numerous key contributors over the first 10 weeks of the season. According to the St. Louis Rams Twitter page, it seems likely that CB Al Harris and TE Mike Hoomanawanui will both miss the rest of the season after suffering injuries in the win over Cleveland:

@STLouisRams: TE Mike Hoomanawanui and CB Al Harris have significant knee injuries. Spagnuolo expects to lose both for the season.

The loss of Harris will be especially difficult for the Rams to deal with, as the secondary has already been depleted because of injury. If he is forced to miss the remainder of the season, Harris will join Bradley Fletcher, Ron Bartell and Jerome Murphy on the IR.

Hoomanawanui has battled injuries throughout his career, which has really slowed the progress of the talented TE. Hommanawanui has played in only 15 games in his two year career, with a multitude of injuries sidelining him.

Brandon Lloyd Week 10 Fantasy Update: Rams WR Scores Touchdown Against Cleveland

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brandon Lloyd hasn't had a great year, particularly by the standards that he set last season. A journeyman for most of his career, Lloyd broke out last year with 77 catches, 1448 yards and 11 touchdowns receiving, but he was traded to the Rams earlier this season due to concerns that the Broncos wouldn't be able to retain him long-term.

With Rams quarterback Sam Bradford battling injuries recently, Lloyd hasn't had the opportunity to really develop a connection with his new quarterback, so it's been an adjustment period for both of them. The former Bronco continued his track record of solid games in a Rams uniform on Sunday, though, taking in four catches for 48 yards and a touchdown.

St. Louis didn't have a big day through the air on Sunday against a pretty solid Cleveland pass defense, but Lloyd was the team's leading receiver. The yardage numbers aren't gaudy, but he did take in a touchdown, and that's something we haven't seen nearly enough from Lloyd this season.

He also made a couple of beautiful catches against the Browns that you can see here. Once both he and Bradford get settled in, you could see Lloyd put up some pretty good numbers in the second half of this season.

Rams Vs. Browns Final Score: St. Louis Wins 13-12 After Cleveland Misses Field Goal

For a moment there, it seemed like Sam Bradford would need to lead an impressive two-minute drill for the St. Louis Rams to have any chance of winning. That was before Cleveland Browns kicker Phil Dawson missed a 22-yard field goal with just over two minutes left in the game, allowing the Rams to hold onto a 13-12 lead and beat the Browns on Sunday afternoon.

Down 12-10 going into the fourth quarter, Cleveland made a major mistake when punt returner Joshua Cribbs fumbled the ball. The Rams recovered the ball at Cleveland's 27-yard line, and got close enough for kicker Josh Brown to knock in a 34-yard field goal. That put St. Louis up 13-12 with just under eight minutes to go in the game.

That when the Browns began a drive that looked like it could be the game-winner, at least for the first nine plays. The Rams handed Cleveland exceptional field position when Brown popped the kickoff out of bounds, handing the Browns the ball at their own 40-yard line. After a couple of solid plays got Cleveland to the St. Louis 39, a horse collar tackle penalty by the Rams pushed Cleveland into the red zone.

After a series of running plays, Cleveland got the ball down to the Rams' 4-yard line with just over two minutes left in the game. Stuck at fourth-and-4, the Browns called on kicker Phil Dawson to push through his fifth field goal of the day. It seemed like pretty much a lock from just 22 yards out. Dawson was a perfect 4-for-4 on his first four opportunities of the day, all of them longer than 22 yards. Coming into this game, he was 100-for-104 (roughly 96% efficiency) on kicks from inside 30 yards during his career.

And then he missed it, wide left. The Rams took possession of the ball at the Browns' 20, got a first down on a couple of strong runs from Steven Jackson and called it a game. It may not have been a pretty win, as the Browns had more yardage, less turnovers, less penalties and more time of possession, but the Rams got things done when it counted, and now they have a second win on the season.

Rams Vs. Browns Score Update: Cleveland Hits Field Goal, Takes 12-10 Lead

The Cleveland Browns still haven't scored a touchdown in Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, but they've managed to take a 12-10 lead following kicker Phil Dawson's fourth field goal of the day.

Essentially the entire third quarter was scoreless, until the Browns completed an 8-play, 68-yard drive with a 27-yard field goal by Dawson with just 37 seconds left in the quarter. The Browns kicker is a perfect 4-for-4 on field goal attempts, so Cleveland hasn't really wasted opportunities outside of its inability to get into the end zone.

The Rams got a bit of a scare in that quarter, too, as quarterback Sam Bradford spent a couple minutes on the bench of being shaken up on a rough hit. Back-up A.J. Feeley made a quick appearance in the game before Bradford returned, presumably to a collective sigh of relief from the Rams' fan base. It hasn't been a great day in general for him, as he's 14-for-25 for 148 yards and a touchdown at the moment, but he's also thrown an interception as well.

Rams Vs. Browns Score Update: St. Louis Leads 10-9 At Halftime

The St. Louis Rams are holding onto the lead by a thread in Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, as they're up 10-9 going into halftime. The two teams have alternated scoring drives all game, although the Browns are still waiting to get into the end zone.

Cleveland took a 3-0 lead midway through the first quarter, and the Rams responded by scoring a touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. The Browns then trimmed the lead to 7-6 with another field goal before the teams traded field goals late in the second quarter to put us at the current score.

As expected, Steven Jackson's had an exceptional day facing the Browns' defense. Cleveland has one of the worst rush defenses in the league, and the Rams' star has responded by rushing for 71 yards on his first 13 carries of the game, good for 5.5 yards per carry. Quarterback Sam Bradford started off strong but didn't play nearly as well down the stretch, throwing an interception late in the second quarter that led to one of Cleveland's three field goals.

Browns quarterback Colt McCoy is having a big day. The second-year pro was 13-for-19 for 152 yards passing in the first half, although he couldn't lead his team to a touchdown.

St. Louis Rams Injury Update: Al Harris Will Not Return

The St. Louis Rams are leading the Cleveland Browns as they play on Sunday afternoon. That's the good news. There's bad news, though, and it's that cornerback Al Harris has sustained an injury and won't return for the rest of the game. The veteran injured his right knee early in the game, and the team is reporting now that he won't be able to return.

Harris, 37, joined the Rams before this season. He appeared in all eight games, making four starts, although he never intercepted a pass or recorded a sack. Once one of the best cornerbacks in the game, Harris has felt the effects of old age, especially on his playing time. Harris never missed a single game over the first ten seasons of his career, but he played in just 25 games from 2008 through 2010.

The Rams also announced that safety Darian Stewart, who injured his head in Sunday's game, is a questionable return. They may be cautious and hold him out.

Rams Vs. Browns Score Update: Rams Lead 7-3 Early In Second Quarter

The St. Louis Rams were losing when the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Rams concluded, but they quickly gained the lead on the first play of the second quarter. Quarterback Sam Bradford connected with wide receiver Brandon Lloyd on a seven-yard touchdown pass to complete a 10-play, 69-yard drive.

It's been a solid day for the Rams so far. They trailed early after giving up a 44-yard field goal to kicker Phil Dawson, but the offense has been churning and the Browns haven't been able to get their running game going yet. Bradford's looked particularly solid so far, connecting on 6 of 9 passes for 74 yards and the aforementioned touchdown pass. He's already hooked up with Lloyd three times today, including this beauty of a catch:

That 24-yard beauty was part of the big drive that's put St. Louis ahead. Rams fans have to be excited about the possibility of Bradford and Lloyd getting the team's passing offense going. Here's video of the Lloyd touchdown catch, too:

Brandon Lloyd Fantasy Projection: Lloyd A Solid Start In Week 10

Though numberFire.com's projections for Rams QB Sam Bradford aren't too hot, WR Brandon Lloyd is still a good choice for a starting wide receiver in Week 10. numberFire is projecting Lloyd as the No. 22 overall receiver on Sunday, which makes him a solid WR2 for any team.

Though the Rams should use Steven Jackson heavily today, Lloyd should get the most targets of any Rams pass catcher, and that should equal a pretty decent day for fantasy owners. Lloyd has 17 catches since joining the Rams in Week 7, which is the most on the team over that time period. The team did activate WR Mark Clayton today, but that shouldn't cut into Lloyd's production that much.
