St. Louis continues to climb the power rankings.
St. Louis continues to play well under Ken Hitchcock; the Blues have won three of five and are 6-2-2 in their previous 10 games. That streak is good enough to keep the team moving up the NHL power rankings. In Real Clear Sports' latest aggregate power rankings, the Blues check in at No. 8, up from No. 9 last week. As December began, the team was still outside the top 10.
CBS and ESPN ranked the Blues sixth in their respective power rankings, while The Hockey News had them down at No. 10.
St. Louis currently sits in third place in the Central and sixth place in the Western Conference. The team's next game is in Phoenix on Friday night.
