The St. Louis Blues have the best record in the NHL. Tuesday night's 3-0 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators gives St. Louis 105 points on the season, the most in either conference. The Blues entered the third period up only 1-0, but the offense added a couple insurance goals and goalie Brian Elliott kept the Nashville attack at bay.
The Blues went up 2-0 five minutes into the third period when David Perron scored his 17th goal of the season off assists from David Backes and T.J. Oshie. With four minutes remaining, Oshie would make it 3-0 St. Louis with his 19th score of the year. Assists were credited to Backes and Alex Pietrangelo.
Elliott made 24 saves for the Blues in the win.
