Pujols hit a three-run shot in the sixth inning off Alexi Ogando; followed up with a two-run homer against Mike Gonzalez; and successfully hit a solo shot off the Rangers' other lefty specialist to cap the night, one of the most impressive performances in series history. He finishes with five hits and six RBI altogether.

Only Jackson and Babe Ruth, who did it twice, have ever done it before; Pujols is the first National Leaguer ever to manage the trick. The Cardinals won the game by a final score of 16-7, taking a 2-1 lead over the Rangers in the 2011 World Series, Pujols's third since joining the Cardinals in 2001.
