Last night is what sports is all about. The St. Louis Cardinals overcame astronomical odds to defeat the Texas Rangers in Game 6, rallying to erase two-out, two-run deficits on two separate occasions. St. Louis native David Freese was the hero of the night, who first saved the Cardinals from elimination with a game-tying two-out triple in the ninth inning, and then sealed the victory with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning.
All this was to set up Friday night's winner-take-all Game 7 between the Cardinals and Rangers. This might be the last time Albert Pujols is seen in a Cardinals uniform, but that storyline takes a backseat to what has turned out to be one heck of a World Series.
This is must see TV, so be aware that tonight's game begins at 7:05 p.m. CDT and is being broadcast on Fox. at Busch Stadium.
