Brandon Phillips Goes Twitter-Babyface On St. Louis Cardinals Fans

Brandon Phillips has successfully managed to confuse at least one St. Louis Cardinals fan. This time last Cardinals-Reds series, Phillips was using his Twitter account to infuriate Cardinals fans with some light, "St. Louis? More like St. Boois" style hijinks. Typical pro wrestling heel stuff. So with the Cardinals and Reds beginning a series on Friday I thought it worthwhile to take a look at today's Tweeting, expecting to see more of the same. Instead, I saw that he had performed a random act of Twitter kindness and gone full-on babyface, attending a kid's baseball game after being tweeted about it earlier that day.

This is a major move from heel to face—it's like if Nikolai Volkoff had suddenly renounced his Soviet citizenship and began tag-teaming with Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I don't know how to deal with it.

Considering he had tweeted the day before about his love for Chick-fil-A I'm beginning to think this has all been a campaign to get inside my head before the first game of the series. And it's working.
