The St. Louis Cardinals' TV broadcasting team is much maligned in certain internet circles—I don't really mind it, to be honest—but even with that in mind I was surprised to see them approach rock bottom in FanGraphs's survey of baseball broadcasters. Only the Los Angeles Dodgers' Vin Scully-free away broadcasts fell below Dan'n'Al'n'/or'Rick, who rated a 2.3 out of 5 overall.
↵If I were relying on them for analysis, or had any expectation of their opinions meshing with my own, I might be harsher, but at this point Dan McLaughlin and Al Hrabosky sniping at each other on the air is a summer institution—not so vital as Mike Shannon mispronouncing some call-up's name and asking after Ol' Abner, but something I look forward to anyway. I'm not even sure I always enjoy it, but I'd miss it if it were gone.
↵And come on: It could easily be worse than it is right now. None of them, so far as I know, is even a member of the Brennaman family!
