The St. Louis Cardinals' 2012 home opener was spoiled twice, first by rain and then by the Chicago Cubs, who jumped out to an 8-0 lead against Adam Wainwright and claimed a 9-5 victory. In the second of the three-game set, the Cardinals send 24-year-old righty Lance Lynn to the mound. Lynn sparkled in his first start of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers as he gave up just one run, two hits and one walk while striking out eight in 6 2/3 innings of work. Chris Volstad will take the mound for the Cubs.
