The St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers start a weekend series on Friday at Busch Stadium. Follow this storystream for schedules, lineups, and score updates.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers will begin yet another National League Central series Friday, when Yovani Gallardo and Jake Westbrook tangle at Busch Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for a 7:05 PM CDT. Center fielder Jon Jay returns to the lineup, with Skip Schumaker, to Viva El Birdos's general chagrin, batting eighth and playing second base, where he is not very good.

Aside from that, it's a conventional Cardinals lineup, with Matt Carpenter still in for Lance Berkman and hitting seventh. The Brewers will start Cardinals fan favorite Nyjer Morgan in center field, but Mat Gamel's production is the thing to watch; after a hot Spring Training in relief of departed first baseman Prince Fielder, the former top prospect has been unimpressive, hitting .281/.333/.404 with two doubles, a triple, and a home run.

The Brewers' crowded outfield might have a solution—Corey Hart could move to first, with Norichika Aoki forming part of a platoon in left field. But that's just me speaking as a hopeless fan of Nippon Pro Baseball, so, uh, carry on, Brewers.
