Cardinals Vs. Giants Preview: Jaime Garcia Takes The Mound For St. Louis

The St. Louis Cardinals begin a two-game set with the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night.

The St. Louis Cardinals snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday afternoon by defeating the Chicago Cubs 7-6 at Wrigley Field. The Cards now begin a five-game road trip to California, starting with a two-game set against the San Francisco Giants. Jamie Garcia will take the mound for St. Louis in the opener. He'll be opposed by San Fran's 22-year old lefty Madison Bumgarner.

Garcia, a 25-year old lefty, enters at 2-2 with a 4.09 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. Bumgarner is 5-2 with a 2.80 ERA and 1.13 WHIP.
