The St. Louis Cardinals host the Kansas City Royals for a weekend series as interleague play continues.
The St. Louis Cardinals evened their interleague record at 3-3 by knocking off the Chicago White Sox 5-3 in the series finale on Thursday, and they continue their tour of the AL Central with the Kansas City Royals on Friday. The Royals are riding a three-game winning streak, while the Cards have a two-game string of success of their own. In the series opener Kyle Lohse (6-1, 2.90 ERA) will take the mound opposite Vin Mazzaro (2-1, 3.60 ERA).
