The St. Louis Cardinals announced Friday that catcher Yadier Molina has been placed on MLB's bereavement list. St. Louis has called up Bryan Anderson from triple-A Memphis to help fill in while Molina is away from the club.

The 25-year-old Anderson is hitting .210/.295/.272 with eight doubles, two home runs and 21 RBI in 64 games with Memphis. He played in 15 games for the Cardinals back in 2010.
