Cardinals Vs. Rockies Preview: St. Louis Eyes Series Sweep On Thursday

Stay connected for news and updates

The St. Louis Cardinals did not make any blockbuster deals prior to the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, but they have still quietly put together a strong stretch of baseball over the past few weeks. With the starting pitching finding stability, the Cardinals have won seven of their last 10 games, including two straight victories over the Colorado Rockies. That means St. Louis can earn a series sweep against the Rockies if they take the finale on Thursday night.

Lance Lynn (13-4, 3.42 ERA) will take the mound for St. Louis, and he will start opposite Rockies hurler Alex White (2-6, 6.45 ERA).

Game date/time: Thursday, August 2, 7:40 p.m. CT

Location: Coors Field, Denver, Colo.

TV: FSN Midwest
