MILWAUKEE, WI - JULY 16: Skip Schumaker #55 of the St Louis Cardinals celebrates outside the dugout with Matt Carpenter #13 and Jon Jay #19 after getting driven in by Allen Craig #21 in the top of the 9th inning putting the Cardinals up 3-2 against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park on July 16, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The St. Louis Cardinals open a three-game weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night.

The St. Louis Cardinals have rattled off nine wins over their last 13 games, and on Friday night they open up a series against a Milwaukee Brewers team that has dropped nine of its last 13 contests, so St. Louis is in a good position to secure another series win this weekend. Impressive youngster Joe Kelly (1-4, 2.96 ERA) takes the mound as the starter on Friday for St. Louis, while Milwaukee counters with veteran hurler Randy Wolf (3-7, 5.45 ERA).

Kelly has allowed just seven earned runs over his last four starts combined (24.1 total innings), so it will be interesting to see if he can keep up his impressive run against Ryan Braun and company.

TV: FOX Sports Midwest

Game Time: 7:15 p.m. CT

Location: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri
