St. Louis' homestand continues Monday when San Francisco comes to town.
The St. Louis Cardinals enter Monday winners of five of their last six games, which includes a weekend sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers. In the process, they've made up some ground in the NL Central -- and in the Wildcard -- though they would be out of the playoffs were they to start Monday.
The Cardinals will look to extend their recent string of success when they open up a four-game series against the NL West-leading San Francisco Giants on Monday night. The Giants, who will start Matt Cain (10-4, 2.82 ERA) in the first game, are also coming off a weekend sweep.
Game Date & Time: Monday, Aug. 6, 7:15 p.m. CT
TV: FOX Sports Midwest
