Rams Coaching Search: St. Louis Officials Met With Jeff Fisher On Thursday, According To Report

The St. Louis Rams are one of several franchises interested in former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, and according to this Associated Press report, Rams officials met with Fisher in Denver on Thursday.

The team said Thursday that initial interviews are taking place in Denver, with owner Stan Kroenke an active participant. Kroenke's family also owns the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche.

St. Louis COO Kevin Demoff -- whose father, Marvin, is Fisher's agent -- says that Kroenke will be a major figure in the coaching search and that the decision is ultimately up to him.

Whether or not Demoff's family connection with Fisher has any impact on the coach's decision remains to be seen. Fisher met with the Miami Dolphins earlier in the week.
