2012 NFL schedule: Rams look for upset of Patriots in Week 8

Scott Kane-US PRESSWIRE

The St. Louis Rams and New England Patriots travel to London for their game Sunday. The Rams are looking for an upset win to take with them through their bye week next weekend.

The NFL schedule-makers were nice enough to give the St. Louis Rams back-to-back games against the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots. The second part of that murderer's row happens this Sunday, when Tom Brady and the perennial powerhouse from Foxboro travel to Wembley Stadium in England to face off against Sam Bradford and the Rams.

St. Louis (3-4) fell 30-20 at home to the Packers in Week 7 and now try for the upset win against the Patriots (4-3) to keep pace in a surprisingly competitive NFC West. The Rams are currently the only team in the division without a winning record. St. Louis' bye week comes in Week 9, so a surprise win on Sunday could keep the Rams in the conversation for playoff contention for a bigger part of the season than many would have expected.

Elsewhere in division action this weekend, the Seattle Seahawks (4-3) travel to play the Detroit Lions for a noon game and the San Francisco 49ers (5-2) and Arizona Cardinals (4-3) get the Monday night spotlight.
