Danny Amendola injury: Rams WR has 'outside chance' of playing Sunday

Jeff Curry-US PRESSWIRE

Not so fast. Despite earlier reports that he will sit out, Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola believes he could still play against the Patriots in London.

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola might play against the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Thursday, in London, the receiver said his status "kind of depends on how I feel tomorrow." Rams coach Jeff Fisher said "We'll have to wait and see how the week goes."

Amendola returned to practice this week and was a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday. Neither Amendola nor Fisher had ruled out the Texas Tech product playing Sunday, despite reports earlier in the week to the contrary.

Amendola dislocated his right clavicle in a 17-3 win over Arizona on Oct. 4. After initial reports that his collarbone was broken and he would miss the rest of the season, Amendola was thought to need 4-8 weeks of recovery time to heal the dislocation. Before injuring his shoulder in Week 5, the third-year veteran had caught a team-leading 32 passes for 395 yards and two touchdowns.
