Danario Alexander has another huge game, which is just what Rams fans expected when he went to the San Diego Chargers.

Danario Alexander, whose chronic knee and hamstring problems torpedoed a frustrating career with the St. Louis Rams, was the San Diego Chargers' emergency starter at wide receiver after injuries to Eddie Royal and Robert Meacham left them shorthanded for their Thursday Night affair with the Kansas City Chiefs. And—unsurprisingly, to Rams fans who have become disillusioned with this kind of thing—he was actually pretty great, catching three balls for 61 yards on four targets.
Bolt from the Blue, SB Nation's Chargers blog, noted that he got the bulk of the playing time among the Chargers' emergency wideouts, taking 71 percent of the snaps while Seyi Ajirotutu was lined up just under half the time.
Nobody knows what will happen after Meacham and Royal come back, but for now Danario Alexander is back in the NFL, doing what he does best: Exciting and befuddling fans who wish they knew better than to rely on his fragile limbs. The Rams cutting him while still so desperate for reliable receiving options seemed like the end of the line for the former Missouri star, but however bad his knees are they appear to have a few miles left.
