Rams vs. Jets score update: Sam Bradford, Brandon Gibson connect for 2nd touchdown late

The St. Louis Rams score again after three moribund quarters, with Sam Bradford hitting Brandon Gibson for his second touchdown of the afternoon.

Brandon Gibson and Sam Bradford scored the St. Louis Rams' second touchdown of the afternoon in the fourth quarter of their Week 11 matchup with the New York Jets, but unlike their first touchdown, back on the Rams' first drive, there's little room for optimism. The Rams trail 27-13 now, after a failed two-point conversion, after being unable to phase a solid-looking Mark Sanchez and making several brutal turnovers themselves.

Gibson is one of the few Rams who's going to come out of this week's game looking anything less than terrible; he's now got two receptions for three yards and two touchdowns. Bradford, meanwhile, is just 18-for-29 for 139 yards, two touchdowns, an interception, and a lost fumble; his inability to move the ball after that successful first drive has been fundamental to the Rams' offensive failings.

Sanchez, meanwhile, is 15-for-20 with 178 yards and a touchdown, while Bilal Powell has two touchdowns--the first of his career--on the ground in nine carries.

After a tie against the San Francisco 49ers, the Rams had a chance, against the Jets, to make a decisive statement in the NFC West. Instead, it looks as though they've laid an egg.
