The St. Louis Rams have started to clear cap space by making cuts, and on Monday the team parted ways with center Jason Brown as well as defensive tackles Justin Bannan and Fred Robbins. Those cuts will save the team nearly $10 million dollars.
Later in the afternoon, word came that the team would release defensive back Ron Bartell and defensive end James Hall as well. According to the Post-Dispatch, these moves will save an additional $9.25 million.
Releasing Bartell frees up $6.25 million in cap space; releasing Hall frees up $3 million.
