The St. Louis Rams have a deal in place with free agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports. The deal is worth $50 million over five years, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Finnegan, 28, was considered one of the top cornerbacks on the market after spending the first six years of his career playing for the Tennessee Titans. Going to St. Louis reunites him with new Rams head coach Jeff Fisher, who was the head coach in Tennessee earlier in the cornerback's career.
Since 2007, Finnegan only missed three games for the Titans, starting the other 77 games. In 2011, he started all 16 games, recording 58 tackles, one sack and one interception. Finnegan made the Pro Bowl with Tennessee in 2008, and he had five interceptions apiece over the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

Fisher coached Finnegan for a number of years in Tennessee, and the hard-nosed corner is expected to shore up a position that was solid but constantly in flux for the Rams last season. Fisher also confirmed that ex-Titans defensive linemen Jason Jones was in St. Louis and was being heavily recruited by the Rams.
