Stan Kroenke, who purchased the St. Louis Rams before last season and still owns the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets, despite NFL rules prohibiting cross-sports ownership, has emerged as one of the major bidders for the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to reports Tuesday. Who's ready for more ridiculous ownership shenanigans!? It's only been a year!

If, at this moment, you're wondering what Rams fans did to deserve this guy sneaking past Shahid Khan at the last minute—well, you're wondering the same thing as me, and it's foolish. The Rams are apparently just the Rams, and doomed forever to this kind of intrigue.
But hey, the good news is that if Kroenke were to purchase the Dodgers his hands would be tied re: moving the Rams to Los Angeles, because that would be a clear same-market issue. Of course, he's been ignoring another clear cross-ownership issue for a year now, so good luck on that.
