Rams CB Bradley Fletcher Says He's "Ahead Of Schedule" On Rehab Of Torn ACL

With the 2012 NFL Draft rapidly approaching and serious needs to fill across multiple positions, the St. Louis Rams have to pleased that cornerback Bradley Fletcher says he's ahead of schedule on his rehab from a torn ACL he suffered during the bye week of the 2011-12 NFL season. The former third round pick (66th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft has suffered two season-ending knee injuries in his first three NFL season, but Fletcher says he is recovering well and should be ready for training camp in July, according to a report by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Here's what the young CB had to say (via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch):

"I'm ahead of schedule right now and things are going well," Fletcher said. "I'm back out here in individual drills with the team. It feels good being with the secondary, getting back in the drill work, catching balls. My knee's feeling really good. It's holding up right now."

"My whole mind-set after going through it before is I know what's to come," Fletcher said. "I know how this may feel, how that may feel. And I know personally how I can handle myself with that certain feeling I may have here or there."

Fletcher hasn't gotten full medical clearance yet on the knee, but says: "I know I'll be ready for training camp."

In 2010 -- his lone healthy season in the NFL -- Fletcher recorded four interceptions and 71 tackles in 15 starts for the Rams. If the 25-year old defender can return to form and stay healthy, the Rams might be able to improve their porous secondary by a significant margin in the upcoming season.
