2012 NFL Draft Grades: Rams Earn A From SB Nation

The new St. Louis Rams brain trust of head coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead will be judged on how their team performs on the field, and not on how the two do in the draft room. But with that said, the new front office may have bought themselves some leeway thanks to what is being praised by most draft watchers as a solid at worst and excellent at best 2012 draft.

SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber leans more to the latter, and in his NFL Draft grades assessment he gives the Rams a straight A for their draft. Here's Van Bibber on the grade:

No team in the division did as well this week, this offseason, as the Rams. GM Les Snead picked up two extra second-round picks this year, and used them to draft some talented young players. People were underwhelmed with the Michael Brockers pick, but it strengthens what was already the best unit on the team.

I think they could have done better than Brian Quick. Can Ray Sherman find gold in that big frame? Bonus points for taking chance on Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson. As Jenkins explained, he didn't shoot up some strip club! The tough love in the Rams' locker room will benefit both players.
