Rams vs. Seahawks: Russell Wilson faces St. Louis after referee controversy

Following Monday night's contentious victory, Russell Wilson will look to improve statistically this Sunday as his Seattle Seahawks take on the St. Louis Rams.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw the dubious game-winning touchdown pass to defeat the Green Bay Packers on Monday night and now heads into St. Louis for a divisional showdown with the Rams.

Wilson's last-second lob to receiver Golden Tate incited a firestorm of controversy around the NFL's use of replacement officials, as the unit that ruled Monday's final play a touchdown was the same one that let overly-aggressive play in the Rams' 31-28 win over the Washington Redskins spiral out of control in Week 2.

Amidst the chaos of Seattle's win, however, was Wilson's 10-for-21, 130-yard passing performance which marked his lowest completion percentage (47.6 percent) of the young season. In his weekly press conference, head coach Pete Carroll said that although he thought Wilson was effective, he'd like his rookie quarterback to hang in the pocket a bit longer.

For the season overall, Wilson has completed 57.3 percent of his throws, averaging 10.1 yards a catch. Additionally, he has four touchdowns passes to only one interception.
