The St. Louis Blues took their first home loss in regulation Saturday night, falling 2-1 to the Dallas Stars at Scottrade Center after losing 3-2 in Dallas the night before. The Blues took 36 shots but only one—from B.J. Crombeen—got past Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen. St. Louis goalie Jaroslav Halak had this to say: "Same thing happened last night. We had a lead going into the third and we blew it." He allowed two goals on 23 shots, both coming in the third period.
The Blues are now 8-1-1 at Scottrade Center—and 4-6-2 on the road. The lost was their seventh in 10 games, after a three-game winning streaks stoked hopes of a return to their early season form. The goal was Crombeen's third of the season; he was claimed on waivers from the Stars in 2008, after appearing in 23 games with the club.
The Stars improve to 13-8-1, tops in the Pacific Division. The Blues, who are tied for third in the Central Division Standings at 12-7-3, will take to the road to visit the Chicago Blackhawks this Tuesday. Look for more reaction at St. Louis Game Time.
