NFL Update: Minnesota Vikings Stopped Inside The One, Score After Three-And-Out

The Minnesota Vikings were stopped on fourth and goal inside the one, just inches from cutting the Arizona Cardinals’ lead to 24-17. Brett Favre couldn’t convert on a roll-out on the Vikings’ last shot at the end zone.

The Vikings pushed the Cardinals to a three-and-out and got the ball inside the Cardinals’ 50, after Ben Graham just managed to get a punt off from the back of the end zone.

From there, Brett Favre marched the team back downfield. Favre made two quick passes to Visanthe Shiancoe to get the team back within the five, then Adrian Peterson finally broke through on a run, picking up five more yards for his second touchdown of the night.

Favre is 31-for-42 for 336 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Adrian Peterson has 11 carries for 42 yards in a touchdown, as well as one 12-yard reception for another touchdown. With three-and-a-half minutes left the Vikings trail 24-17. If the Arizona Cardinals pull this game out they’ll move into a tie with the St. Louis Rams at 4-4 in the NFC West.
