Missouri Tigers Win Braggin' Rights, Score 48 In Second Half

The Missouri Tigers won official braggin' rights Wednesday night, beating the Illinois Fighting Illini 75-64 in St. Louis with some furious final-minute scoring. It's the second consecutive win for Mizzou, and brings the Braggin' Rights tally to 20-10 in favor of Illinois. Marcus Denmon led the team with 15 points; Mike Davis scored 17 for Illinois. The loss for Illinois is their second straight after a crippling upset against Illinois-Chicago.

The teams went into the second half even after a surprisingly low scoring first that only saw 54 combined points from two fast-paced offenses. After an incredibly even 39 minutes Missouri put the finishing touches on a 21-7 run to close the game and pull away.

Rock M Nation is celebrating with GIFs and other internet-related debaucheries. Hail to the Orange titled their last game thread of the night, "Illini Falls To Missouri In Late Game Meltdown. Braggin' Rights Anger/Depression Thread." Which is, I think, all that needs to be said.
