No deal’s yet struck with Jeff Suppan, but the Cardinals have outrighted LHP prospect Tyler Norrick to make room for him on the 40 man roster, according to Derrick Goold of the Post-Dispatch.
A sixth-rounder in 2006, Norrick became an interesting sleeper prospect after striking out a batter an inning as a wild reliever in AAA Memphis, but he’s struggled even more with his control in 2010 and has spent the past week rehabbing in high-A Palm Beach.
