According to Derrick Goold the Cardinals and Suppan have a deal in place, contingent on his delayed bullpen session:
Suppan will throw a bullpen session for Cardinals officials today at Chase Field and he’ll meet with the team’s trainers. The team and its former playoff MVP have an agreement in place, and it will be finalized if they are comfortable that he’s physically capable of pitching — imminently.
“He has to show that he’s healthy,” general manager John Mozeliak said Friday after arriving in Phoenix. “This is not a talent search.”
