The Post-Dispatch has the market cornered on covering Steve Spagnuolo's vacation time management. Bill Coats:
↵↵↵With vacation time looming, St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo will be trying to dial things back. But he acknowledged that he finds that difficult to do.
↵"I spend the first 80 percent of (vacation) trying to detox, or whatever the word is," Spagnuolo said. "Then I enjoy the last three days of vacation."
↵He and wife Maria are planning to visit family on the East Coast. A couple of more trips are planned, but Spagnuolo doesn't know the itinerary yet. "Maria's got it lined up somewhere," he said.

I appreciate this because it's also how I'll experience the Rams' next winning season. There'll be a long period where I wonder if it's really happening, and whether I can allow myself to love—we can say the beach—again, and then when they're finally 9-6, and my flight back to Lambert from this metaphorical vacation destination is looming, I'll spend that last day secure in the knowledge that I have successfully enjoyed myself.
